Abstract

 

Epilepsy is a complex neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures  affecting millions of people worldwide. Recent advancements in epilepsy research have shed light on its multifactorial etiology, including genetic predisposition and environmental factors. This scholarly article explores the latest findings in epilepsy genetics, highlighting the role of novel genomic technologies in identifying susceptibility genes and understanding disease mechanisms. Additionally, emerging therapeutic approaches targeting molecular pathways implicated in epilepsy offer promising avenues for the development of personalized treatment strategies. This review synthesizes key insights into the genetic basis of epilepsy and discusses innovative therapies on the horizon, providing a comprehensive overview of the current landscape of epilepsy research.
